Dr. Howard J Kapp MD

Dr. Kapp established a joint replacement practice in Naples, specializing in hip and knee replacements. Over the past 30 years, he has "fixed" thousands of patients at Howard J Kapp MD - NASA Orthocollier & Sports Medicine.


He is a renowned orthopedic surgeon in Southwest Florida. He embraces proven new technologies that improve the patient's experience and outcomes. This includes minimally invasive procedures, robotic surgery, and accelerated rehab protocols to hasten patient recovery. His results are unmatched in success and patient satisfaction. 


His contribution made Howard J Kapp MD - NASA Orthocollier & Sports Medicine rank first in the State of Florida and sixth in the nation for total joint replacements for Medicare patients. He is the only orthopedic surgeon at the Howard J Kapp MD - NASA Orthocollier & Sports Medicine who has been selected by Castle Connolly as one of the nation's top orthopedic surgeons for three consecutive years.

He has developed a referral practice for extremely complex procedures, including revision surgery, and caring for patients with severe problems.

Education

Dr. Kapp earned his BA from Harvard University, graduating magna cum laude in 1978. He attended medical school at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio from 1978 to 1982. He stayed in Cleveland for two years for a general surgery residency at University Hospitals. Dr. Kapp's orthopedic training was at the Harvard combined orthopedic residency program from 1984 to 1987. He finished with a Chief Resident position at Massachusetts General Hospital. Since completing residency, Dr. Kapp has been in private practice in Naples for over 30 years.
